What Is the Best CRM for Life Insurance Agents? Go High Level vs. Quility's Funnel

If you're a life insurance agent trying to figure out which CRM to use, you've probably been overwhelmed by the options. There are dozens of generic CRMs out there, but most of them weren't built for what we actually do.

I've tested a lot of them. The two that stand out for life insurance agents in 2026 are Go High Level and Quility's React CRM, called Funnel. They're built differently, they serve different purposes, and depending on where you are in your career, one might be a better fit than the other.

Let me break down both.

Go High Level: The All-in-One Marketing and Sales Machine

Go High Level (GHL) has become one of the most popular CRMs in the insurance space, and for good reason. It's not just a CRM — it's an entire marketing platform rolled into one.

What Go High Level Does Well

Lead generation and nurturing. GHL was built for marketing-first businesses. You can build landing pages, run email and SMS drip campaigns, set up automated follow-up sequences, and manage your entire sales pipeline from one dashboard. If you're generating your own leads through Facebook ads, Google ads, or social media, GHL gives you the tools to capture those leads and work them systematically.

Automation. This is where GHL really shines. You can set up workflows that automatically send a text when a new lead comes in, follow up with an email sequence over the next two weeks, book appointments on your calendar, and trigger reminders if a lead goes cold. Once you build these workflows, they run on autopilot. That means you're working leads even when you're sleeping.

Pipeline management. GHL gives you a visual pipeline where you can drag and drop leads through stages — new lead, contacted, quoted, application submitted, policy issued. It's simple and it keeps you organized.

Reputation management. GHL also has built-in tools for requesting Google reviews, managing your online reputation, and even building a basic website. It's a Swiss Army knife.

What to Watch Out With Go High Level

GHL is powerful, but it has a learning curve. It's not something you set up in 20 minutes. You'll need to invest time building out your workflows, landing pages, and automations. There's also a monthly cost — plans start around $97/month for the Starter plan and go up to $297/month or more for the full suite.

For agents who are generating their own leads and running their own marketing, GHL is hard to beat. But if you're not doing your own lead gen, you might not need all that horsepower.

Quility's Funnel: The Insurance-Native CRM

Funnel is Quility's (now Symmetry Financial Group's) proprietary CRM built on the React framework. Unlike Go High Level, which is a general-purpose marketing platform adapted for insurance, Funnel was built from the ground up specifically for life insurance agents.

What Funnel Does Well

Insurance-specific workflows. Funnel understands the life insurance sales process. It's designed around the way agents actually work — from lead intake to quoting to application submission to policy tracking. You're not trying to force a generic CRM to fit an insurance workflow. It already fits.

Lead management. Funnel integrates directly with Symmetry's lead programs. When a lead comes in, it lands in your Funnel dashboard ready to work. You can see lead details, contact history, and where they are in the pipeline without switching between tools.

Quoting and application tools. This is a big differentiator. Funnel connects to carrier quoting engines, so you can pull quotes and start applications right from the CRM. You're not bouncing between five different carrier portals. Everything is centralized.

Agent hierarchy and team management. If you're building a team, Funnel has built-in hierarchy and override tracking. You can see your downline's activity, track production, and manage your team's pipeline from one place. This is something Go High Level doesn't do natively.

Commission tracking. Funnel tracks your commissions, pending policies, and placed business. You can see your production numbers in real time without logging into a separate back-office system.

What to Watch Out With Funnel

Funnel is purpose-built for Symmetry/Quility agents, so it's not available to agents outside that ecosystem. If you're contracted with Symmetry (which The Tipton Agency is), you get access to Funnel as part of your agent toolkit. The marketing automation features aren't as deep as Go High Level — it's more focused on the sales and policy management side than on running ad campaigns and building landing pages.

So Which One Should You Use?

Here's my honest take:

Use Go High Level if you're running your own lead generation (Facebook ads, Google ads, social media funnels), you want deep marketing automation and drip campaigns, you need to build landing pages and capture leads from multiple sources, or you're an independent agent not contracted with Symmetry.

Use Funnel if you're contracted with Symmetry Financial Group (through The Tipton Agency or another Symmetry agency), you want an insurance-native CRM that handles quoting, applications, and commissions in one place, you're building a team and need hierarchy and override tracking, or you prefer a CRM that works out of the box without heavy setup.

Use both if you're a Symmetry agent who also runs your own marketing. This is actually what a lot of our top producers do. They use Go High Level for lead generation and marketing automation, then use Funnel for the insurance-specific workflow — quoting, applications, policy tracking, and commission management. The two tools complement each other well.
